Albert Hubo
Albert Hubo is a specific model of a previously created walking apparatus for a Humanoid Robot developed by the Korean Institute of Science and Technology with its head replaced with an android replica of Albert Einstein's head and voice designed by Hanson Robotics. In addition to his contributions to science, Einstein was chosen as the model because of his grandfatherly appearance, which acts as a deterrent to the 'uncanny valley', in which androids resemble humans too much yet are not perfected enough to be confused with them. The focus of this project is to test the abilities to replicate human-like facial expressions specifically. Albert Hubo has sixty-six points of movement, and its ultra-realistic face is made possible by the artificial skin, made of a specialized soft silicone unique to Hanson Robotics. To the right is a full view of the face of the machine.

Philip K. Dick
Another successful android made by Hanson Robotics is a full body model of Philip K. Dick, late author of 'Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?'. Meticulously crafted in the same manner as 'Albert', 'Philip' has an advanced artificial intelligence that allows it to generate original phrases based on information given by Philip K. Dick's life and works in addition to a basic vocabulary. At a sacrifice to smoothness of speech, this allows it to respond to a variety of questions, mostly relating to its own creation or a similar topic to one of its inspirer's works. To the left is a the android reclining in his room setting.
